This month the Sweethearts welcomed back the lovely Jo Banks to show us more amazing things we can do with locally sourced flowers. Jo brought Hellebores, Narcissi and a wealth of greenery all grown in her Harrogate garden. After tea and an Easter nest (April’s Recipe of the Month) we started to bend and cover wire to make a floral crown. Jo showed us how to use florist’s tape to attach our flowers and we spent a fun evening creating an amazing variety of headpieces. Of course we had to model then and you can see the results in our gallery. During the evening Jo gave us some tips for our own gardens (get deadheading those daffodils, Sweethearts!) and some of us may have been inspired to enter those floral classes at the Great Yorkshire Show…
