April 2019: Harrogate Tipple

We were joined by Steve from Harrogate Tipple who talked us through the different tipples they have created and their journey so far. Harrogate Tipple began around 2 and a half years ago and have gone from strength to strength with their premium gin already winning a number of awards.

They pride themselves on being local with the water used when making their drinks being 100% Harrogate spring water. Not only that but with the exception of Juniper, all their botanicals come from the local area – either Harlow Carr or Ripley Castle gardens.

The Sweethearts were very excited when Steve brought along lots of tasters for us to try! We tried the award-winning premium gin, gooseberry gin, blueberry gin and their rum.SpiritWe tried it withOpinion of one of our SweetheartsHarrogate Tipple’s serving suggestionPremium gin

With an overwhelming majority the premium gin won the Sweethearts’ vote as our favourite but they were all amazing!

It is a very exciting time for Harrogate Tipple as they have opened their first shop in Ripley where you will find all of their drinks as well as a number of gift items such as gin or rum scented candles. They are currently working on a botanical vodka as well as brewery tours and a unique gin school. You can find out more on their website.

We all had a fantastic evening, full of giggles, boozing, tea and cake. Thanks Steve!

See you next month x
