February was the time for our Annual Meeting. We looked back at another fabulous year for Spa Sweethearts and looked forward to an exciting year ahead in our new home. There was no need to vote in a new president this year as Amy is carrying on her fantastic job but we said goodbye and thank you to Bex for all her hard work as our secretary. We also welcomed some new members to the committee. Our WI Advisor, Anne Harrison, gave us a talk on the structure of the WI and how we fit into the federation and national WI. She also listened to our members comments on modernising the booking system for events. After a break for a cuppa and a relaunch of the amazing Spa Sweethearts bunting project, Sam led us in a game of music bingo. We all got competitive and had fun winning prizes for recognising songs from a variety of genres. We also had a picture quiz on inspiring women, including Adelaide Hoodless, the founder of the WI. Thank you to all the committee and members for making it such a fun evening, especially Sam for the music bingo. We may have to feature that again soon….
