Tamsin O’Brien joined us for our July meeting to give us an insight into her journalism career. Tamsin worked for the BBC for over 20 years. She was the former Head of BBC Yorkshire and covered a number of large events such as the Hillsborough Tragedy.
Tamsin is now the editor of the Stray Ferret and discussed the how and why it was created and the importance of local news. Tamsin was very passionate about what and who they want to represent in the community and the fact that The Stray Ferret is completely digitised. We were able to ask a number of questions and learnt a lot.
We had a great response to the raffle and the prize was a delivery of fresh fruit and veg from local small business Rootsfruits.
