Our November meeting played host to the lovely men from Harrogate Harmony Barbershop chorus. We enjoyed a concert which took us through the Twentieth century and across the world, with songs such as Unchained Melody, Crazy Little thing called Love and Can you feel the love tonight, all sung in the barbershop style. We were even treated to a monologue and some entertaining stories from the men. After our interval, complete with choc ices, ukulele players, The Misspent Ukes, shared their talents with us, where we even got to sing along. A quartet, known as The Elderly Brothers, revealed the mysteries of the barbershop sound, effortlessly blending their voices to a four part harmony. The evening finished with an encore of The Beatles’ Something. It was lovely to see people sharing something they so obviously love with us.
